It was created in 1989 from a long experience in the lighting field and research of innovative lighting sources.

Ilti Luce placed itself in the market as the best italian manufacturer capable in giving technical and qualitative solutions to light problems for museums, suggestig a new product: the glass fiber optics. Therefor, the system called FOM (Fiber Optic Museum) has been created as a symbol of great innovations.

Thanks to the use of a new type of glass with high transmission efficacy, the glass fiber optic lighting system is optimal for the preservation of fine arts, in addition to the great evocative effect, it avoids the damages coused by the traditional lighting systems. In 1991 Unesco Museum magazine has described ILTI LUCE S.r.I. "A first in Italy".

From these and other realizations, a wide range of products have been developed in order to answer the needs, not only in the fiber optic areas, but also the needs of those who are in charge of "contracts", following and helping designers and architects with custom made products.

Therefor Ilti Luce can define in a clear way the image of the company as a leader in the production of innovative design products with high technology finalized to the needs of architectural lighting.

The range of products has been expanded with new innovative light sources, as the electroluminescence and LEDs of the new range "ILTI LEDs". High technology products are developed in the new I.R.L. research laboratory equiped for the development of special products.
